DIY Colon Cleanse: Rainbow Light Body Cleanse

In the new system of Reiki I am developing called Flower of Healing™ Reiki, cleansing and detoxification is an important part of the energy and techniques. It is called the fourth petal of the Flower of Healing, which is part of the Flower of Healing™ Master Symbol.

The Flower of Healing™ has 5 petals:

  1. the first petal is a healthy diet

  2. the second petal is mindful movement

  3. the third petal is spiritual practice

  4. the fourth petal is cleansing and detoxification

  5. the fifth petal is nature and the elements.

The 5 petals are all necessary foundational elements of self care and self love that support authentic health, wealth, and well-being.

Why is this called the Rainbow Light Body Cleanse?

The Rainbow Body is a concept from many esoteric traditions in which the body of the spiritual practitioner is made of light, and all colors of the rainbow are present in their full purity.

I see the rainbow light body to be a body in which all the chakras, the energy centers, are fully open, healthy, and optimized.

I see the rainbow light body as the crown jewel of holistic health and spiritual awakening.

I see the rainbow light body as the most enlightened, healthiest, and most vital possible expression of human consciousness and human form.

Will this cleanse give you your Rainbow Light Body?

That depends. Used in conjunction with the system of Reiki that is being developed through me, I think it is very possible. The rainbow body requires a level of spiritual devotion and of course pure intention.

The cleanse will certainly help you along your way!

This cleanse is for you if you are on any form of healing journey and/or spiritual path.

The cleanse will work well even if you do not incorporate the more spiritual elements, and do it from a purely physical point of view.

However, why not lean into the holistic nature of this cleanse, and give it a go?!

DIY Substitute for the Incredible Blessed Herbs Colon Cleanse

This cleanse is 100% inspired by the fantastic Blessed Herbs cleanse, which I did once in 2020, and twice in 2021 with incredible results. Unfortunately, the company shut down, so their colon cleanse kits are no longer available. I looked for a suitable replacement, and decided to simply make my own cleanse based on the elements of the Blessed Herbs Colon Cleanse.

This cleanse is empowering, as there is no expensive cleansing pack necessary. There is no waste if you buy bulk ingredients and compost the apples.

It is quick, easy, and cheap in terms of supplies needed.

It is super gentle as well, especially if you don't use the laxatives and instead use enemas. Though some may say the laxatives are gentler than enemas. Do what feels right according to your inner guidance and needs!

When should you do this cleanse?

Be sure to find the divine timing for you in your life for this cleanse. You need at least 3 days preparing, 6 days for the cleanse itself, and another 3 days re-feeding. That is 9 days minimum. The preparing and re-feeding are at least equally important to the cleanse itself. Find a time when you will be able to rest, relax, and just be as much as possible.

To enhance divine timing further, time your cleanse with the waning moon cycle. This occurs every month for about 2 weeks when the moon goes full and diminishes in size before it becomes a New Moon again. You can check the moon phases online.

This is perfect to do as a seasonal cleanse. Seasonal cleansing is recommended in Ayurveda to help us adapt to the changing environment that occurs as the Earth shifts from Winter to Spring, Spring to Summer, Summer to Fall, and Fall to Winter. It is the perfect opportunity to slow down, go within, reflect, and release anything that is no longer needed for the cycle and/or season ahead.

The absolute perfect timing is when:

1. you can relax and just be.

2. waning moon cycle.

3. equinox or solstice.

If you get all 3, blessed be!

Prep & Refeeding:

This is as important as the cleanse itself. Do not skip the prep and re-feeding! Plan to do 3 days all raw vegan and liquid/blended before AND after the cleanse. Focus on fresh fruits and veggies in liquid form.

Include fresh juice, smoothies, blended salad or raw vegan soup made in the blender.

It is super important to prepare properly and exit properly to maximize the benefits and your qualitative experience on the cleanse itself. This is a wonderful way to reset your taste buds, digestive tract, and body, especially if you were having cravings and/or need an extra push to a higher, lighter more optimal way of eating for you.

What You Need:

  • fresh fruits and veggies (for preparation and re-feeding)

  • blender (for preparation and re-feeding)

  • juicer (masticating recommended)

  • organic apples (at least 3 pounds per day)

  • organic psyllium seed powder

  • organic cinnamon

  • high quality spirulina or chlorella

  • 16 oz. jar with lid

  • measuring spoons

  • strainer (or nut milk bag to strain lemon juice for enemas)

  • lemon (1 per day if using lemon water enemas)

  • enema bag

  • organic coffee for coffee enemas (S. A. Wilson's Gold Roast Organic Coffee)

  • if not doing enemas, cascara sagrada or a product like Health Force Intestinal Movement Formula

  • pure water

  • organic herbal tea (optional)

This is an absolutely wonderful cleanse. Be grateful to do this, to have the chance to integrate the shifts in frequency that are available along any type of holistic healing journey and spiritual path. This cleanse allows the integration to occur at a very deep level of physicality, allowing the body to catch up to the upgrades that are increasingly available on Earth at this time.

Cleanse Protocol

Be sure to set an intention, and choose a time that really works for you to get the most out of the experience.

Cleanse Prep = All liquid raw vegan (3 days)
  • Hot tea or lemon water

  • Green smoothie (1 big one or 2 quart size)

  • Low fat raw vegan soup made in the blender (chilled or warm)

I use intermittent fasting window of 10am-6pm or 12pm-6pm during the pre-feeding and re-feeding, but it’s up to you and your needs/preferences/guidance.

Cleanse & Detox (however long you are guided to do so; I am doing 6 days)

40 oz. fresh organic apple juice divided into 5 servings of 8 oz. each. Store it in the fridge.

Right before it is time to drink the juice, add:

  • 1 tsp organic psyllium seed powder

  • 1/4 tsp high quality spirulina

  • 1/4 tsp organic cinnamon

*You could also include bentonite clay and/or apple pectin, ginger powder, chlorella (instead of spirulina), or peppermint (instead of cinnamon), as these were ingredients included in the Blessed Herbs Colon Cleanse formula. Do your research, use what you have on hand, and follow your inner guidance.

Shake to combine & drink quickly before it gels. As you shake the juice, infuse it with Reiki, your intention, and/or any other blessings, energies, or frequencies you wish to be there. Say thank you.

Follow promptly with 16 oz. pure water. Do not skip this. This ensures that the psyllium does not make a brick in your guts!

5 times in the day, drink the juice + water, and say/sing your intention, use Reiki, and thank you.

I drink at:

  • 10am

  • noon

  • 2pm

  • 4pm

  • 6pm.

(1.5-2.5 hour windows is ideal. I really like the 2 hour window)

Also include:

  • dry skin brushing before showering

  • journaling

  • meditation

  • spiritual practice

  • other nourishing activities

  • relaxation

  • gentle movement

  • rest

  • hydration throughout the day

  • herbal tea if guided (I am enjoying tulsi)

  • plenty of sleep

Be sure to cleanse your bowels.

In the evening before bed, you may choose to take a laxative of choice, such as cascara sagrada or Health Force Intestinal Movement Formula, and follow the package instructions. I have had success with both.

I personally use enemas instead of the laxatives.

AM - 1 quart coffee enema* (see recipe below)

PM - 1 quart lemon water and 1 quart (or more) pure water enema

You want to make sure you are at least having 1 bowel movement a day so that all the toxic waste and fiber is not just sitting in your guts. This would cause detox symptoms and other issues. If you are not having bowel movements, do the enemas!

*If you are going to do a coffee enema for the first time, I suggest you read this article to better understand the purpose and contraindications (reasons why it's not right for some people).

Cleanse Refeeding = All liquid raw vegan (3 days)

  • Day 1: Hot tea or lemon water, green juice, 2 green smoothies (1 quart each)

  • Day 2: Hot tea or lemon water, green juice, 2 green smoothies, 1 raw vegan soup for dinner

  • Day 3: Hot tea or lemon water, green juice, 2 green smoothies, 1 raw vegan soup for dinner

  • Day 4-?: continue with your optimal diet

*By green juice I mean celery juice, or another type of green vegetable juice that does not have a lot of fruit. You can use up the rest of your apples in the juice if you have some leftover.

Coffee enema recipe for four servings:

Place up to 12 tbsp of ground light roast organic coffee in a pot. I am currently using 8 tbsp personally. If you have never done coffee enema, feel free to start with 4 tbsp, and work your way up to the full dose.

The type of coffee I use is S.A. Wilson’s Gold Roast Organic Coffee that is specially formulated for enemas.

Place the ground coffee in a pot along with 1 liter of pure water. Bring to a boil uncovered. Then cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Let cool. Strain well. Place in a quart size jar. Fill the rest of the jar with water if needed, as some of the water probably boiled off.

This is your concentrate for 4 servings. Store it in the fridge.

Each morning add 1 cup of the concentrate to your enema bag along with 2-3 cups of warm water. Put Reiki or other blessings in it.

Make a comfortable place for yourself in the bathroom on the floor. Lubricate the tip of the enema with a natural oil, so it goes in easily and comfortably.

Lay on your right side, and slowly take in all of the liquid. Once all the liquid is inside of you, attempt to hold it for up to 20 minutes. Relax during this time. I tend to journal. If you need to release sooner, do so. Over time, it is easy to hold, but if you do this for the first time, and are really backed up, you may not be able to hold it for very long.

**Make sure you use only high quality pure water in your enema. Only water you would feel comfortable drinking. It should be warm, not cold or too hot.**

Lemon water enema recipe:

Juice 1 lemon, and strain the juice. Place it in the enema bag along with 3ish cups of warm water to make a 1 quart enema. Take in the liquid slowly, and attempt to hold it for a while.

This one is very powerful for loosening up parasites and other matter stored in the pockets and nooks and crannies of the intestines.

Always do at least 1 quart pure water enema afterward to flush it out.

**Make sure you use only high quality pure water in your enema. Only water you would feel comfortable drinking. It should be warm, not cold or too hot.**
